What Customers Say About The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:

This makes the game very open ended.- Character Creation: At the beginning, you create your character and can choose many attributes, races, etc. THE GOOD:- Graphics: Overall graphics are good. Lighting effects (especially the sky). How do I know how close I am to beating this game.- Map is a little difficult to navigate, no zoom feature.

Fairly easy to use maps and quest descriptions.- Quick load times (for PS3 anyways).THE BAD:- Some graphics draw problems - objects/buildings pop up on the horizon. This takes away from the game's overall refinement, and the realism of the environment.- Some annoying cut scenes, dialogue, but I expect this in a role playing game.- No game percent complete - big mistake in my book. Player stats and character development progress well displayed in easy to read graphs. Overall sound is nicely done.- Simple menus: easy to find/equip weapons, magic spells, etc.

Overall, not the best on PS3, but very good.- Gameplay Depth: Enormous world to explore, tons of weapons, objects, and people to interact with, many quests to complete and tons of magic/spells. Voices move around the speakers corresponding to player location. The character detail, object detail and scenery are all well done. This adds a lot of depth and is very easy to use.- Sound: Great use of Dolby Digital surround sound.

I also like that you can choose from many different quests at one time, no need to follow a strict order of events. are great. Quests vary from quick 5 minute tasks, to 2-3 hours - nice variation.

First of all, if you are a sports gamer or FPS gamer this game really isn't for you. And the ending is pretty anti-climatic as well. If you are not of that type of gamer don't waste the $[.]. Other than that its a magnificent game.

A good balance of magic, armor wearing, and weapons are good. All that build up and then whoosh, it's over. The only thing i have as advice would be to make sure you have a character concept in mind before the game starts. Try not to specialize. Makes life easier. Its more for people that are fans of RPGs, like Dungeons and Dragons type RPGs.

But the game has numerous side quests that can keep you entertained for hours on end. Some parts of the game are pretty difficult if you specialeze in just magic, or being a basher type character. bucks for the game. the only problem I had was that the whole adaptive leveling thing is annoying.

It's fun to play, too. This isn't one of those crappy, overpriced games that you are done playing in a few days. There are so many things to do in this game that it takes a while to get through it all. I bought this game for my son but I really like it, too. I also plan on buying Oblivion Game of the Year edition soon. It's so well made, detailed and complex. It's one of the best and most interesting video game I've ever played. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

This could be bad if you'd like to try different things but couldn't change your play-style that much. Actually, I'd like to give 3.5 to how much fun the game is. You can read any 5-star review for that. Still, It's a good RPG to add to your library of games, especially for its price now.

Fallout 3 is much more well-paced and addictive. So 4 stars for over-all and 3.5 for the fun.In conclusion, it's slow and has significant boring portions. This game bored me to tears as much as kept me playing. And when your skills develop to the significant point, they're fun to use.You have to really be patient with its sluggishly-slow pace and a weird leveling-up system.

That makes the world feels kinda lonely. Some quests are annoying and boring. But when it's fun, it's fun. I'm not going to say much about pros. And the character levels up so very slow that it could make you feel unrewarding and unaddictive.

So, some skills would be developed fast while others may not go up at all. Let's talk about cons. The game is a free-roaming, but there are not many enemies to pick a fight with on the world map. Leveling up is based on your style of playing.

There is too much detail and very little pay-off. This game is cool but it takes forever to get going and once you do get going you will wonder where you're at. It's fun to walk around exploring the area and finding old caves and fighting enemies. This game reminds me of Wizardy on NES but with all new graphics.

You may walk or run a bit faster or cast better spells but even those aren't worth wait. With all the fighting games out you would think the fighting system for a game like this would be awesome but it's not. Your character has a ton of attributes but even as they go higher no real change takes place. You can conjure up your own potions by picking up random plants.

Tedious to find new missions since you have to talk to people, at length, to get information. For a game that has as much depth as this you would expect your character to have the abilty to target body parts with the ability to hack off limbs but you can't. It's hard to store items and difficult to gain experience. Your character's fighting movements are rather stiff and killing an enemy isn't really that gratifying.

This is by far the most expansive role-playing feild I've ever encountered. It's even cooler to lock-pick treasure chests and people's houses to go looting. You can also find youself in way too deep with enemies that can wipe you out with one hit.
